Welcome to the Magellan Blog

Welcome to the Magellan Blog

We're kicking off the Magellan Blog — a single place for the announcements, technical deep-dives, and field-tested playbooks that previously lived in our heads, our Slack channels, and the occasional founder DM.

If you run a real estate brokerage and you've ever felt like CRM software was built for someone else, this is for you.

What you'll find here

We're going to publish three flavors of writing, and we're going to keep them clearly labeled:

  • Product announcements — what shipped, what changed, and what it unlocks for your team.
  • Technical articles — how we build things, the trade-offs we make, and the lessons we've learned operating an AI-native system at brokerage scale.
  • Industry playbooks — concrete tactics for lead routing, nurture, follow-up, and the unglamorous work of moving deals forward.

We're not here to publish trend pieces or AI hype. Every post will either teach you something you can apply on Monday morning or explain a decision we made that affects how Magellan works.

How we write

A few self-imposed rules:

  1. Concrete over abstract. Real numbers, real workflows, real screenshots. No "synergy."
  2. Short over long. If a post can be 600 words, it won't be 2,000.
  3. Useful over impressive. We'd rather teach you something the competition doesn't want you to know than show off.

Our editorial cadence

Cadence Type Example
Weekly Playbook "Three nurture sequences that close stale leads"
Monthly Technical "How we route inbound leads in under 200ms"
As shipped Announcement "What's new in Magellan v2.4"

A note on AI

A lot of CRM blogs today are written by AI about AI. We're going to try very hard to avoid both. When we write about AI, it's because we've shipped something specific — a new workflow, a guardrail, a model swap — and we want to explain why and how. The code you see in our technical posts will be code we actually run.

The goal isn't to be the loudest voice in the room. It's to be the voice you trust when you're trying to make a real decision about your brokerage.

What's next

Over the next few weeks we'll publish:

  • A walkthrough of our lead routing engine and the trade-offs of synchronous vs. queued assignment.
  • A field report on AI-assisted follow-up from three brokerages running it in production.
  • A breakdown of the 2026 spring market data from our customer base.

Want any of those sooner? Have a topic you'd like us to cover? Get in touch — we read every note.

Thanks for being here.
